Summertime, warmth and fresh air. Yes it's July and while certain industries are closed for the summer, such as education, healthcare is open 24 hours, 365 days a year. Cheers to all of the physicians, nurses and other staff who work all summer, unless they are lucky enough to take some vacation. So how do you boost company morale when staff are working inside, often missing those gorgeous summer days? Well, what about a fun, non-competitive game of kickball?

"Having these two Centers play against other was not only fun, bought it brought out the warmth of the Centers Health Care family and all that it means," said Jennine Sauriol, Centers Health Care's Western New York Regional Director. "Team building is so important these days when it comes to either lifting or maintaining staff morale. So why not a friendly kickball game?"

Some residents also attended the game but the skies threatened one of those western New York summer thunderstorms, so others chose to stay back at their facility. The managers for both teams were the facility's Recreation Directors, Linda Chase from the visiting Buffalo Center and Stephanie Robinson, from the host team, Ellicott Center. During the game, food and drinks were made available from La Nova Pizzeria to all. All in all, it turned out to be a fun and great outing.
