As the Buffalo State College community celebrates the school’s 150th anniversary this year, President Katherine S. Conway-Turner is using social media to make daily contributions to the revelry.
Through Conway-Turner’s Twitter account, @BuffStatePrez, followers get a glimpse of interesting nuggets of Buffalo State’s history. From the origins of Buffalo State on the West Side, to shining a spotlight on different programs and when they started, the plan is to send 150 tweets throughout the academic year.

“Buffalo State has a unique history and place in the Buffalo community,” Conway-Turner said. “As part of our 150th celebration, I wanted to shine a spotlight on what makes us and our history so special. Check it out if you can, and roar on, Bengals!”
Buffalo State’s main social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin will also have content specific to the sesquicentennial all through the year. Posts related to the 150th celebration can be found under the hashtag #BuffState150 on Twitter and Instagram.
