Here are the top stories in Buffalo today:
- Striking nurses and other employees at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo could return to work next week under a tentative agreement between their union and Catholic Health System. About 2,000 Mercy Hospital workers represented by the Communications Workers of America walked out on Oct. 1, citing staffing levels and working conditions as key issues. Catholic Health said in a statement on its website that it would add 250 new positions and reallocate staffing resources “to achieve the staffing numbers CWA sought.” (Niagara Gazette)
- The Erie County Legislature wants to hear the thoughts of the public for the location of the Buffalo Bills' new stadium. The Erie County Legislature will be holding three public hearings in December, all of which will be open to the public. All Western New Yorkers are encouraged to attend and speak their mind about the potential new location and possible construction of a new Bills stadium. (WGRZ.com)
- The Buffalo City Mission has launched its annual Fall fundraising campaign, and this time, they’re looking to raise $2.8 million by the end of the year. (WIVB.com - News 4)
