Orchard Park Physical Therapist to Present at Orlando Conference

Ron Schenk has been invited to speak at the 2019 American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists' Annual Conference on Oct. 26.

Physical Therapist Ron Schenk has been invited to speak at the 2019 American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists’ Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, on Oct. 26. Schenk practices at Partners in Rehab Physical Therapy, located at 550 Orchard Park Road.

Schenk will deliver a presentation entitled “An OMPT Model for Mechanical and Biopsychosocial Subrouping in Chronic Low Back Pain.” The lecture will highlight how a clinician may classify chronic pain in a manner that leads to specific management strategies.

Schenk earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ithaca College and his PhD from the University at Buffalo. Schenk is a physical therapy professor at Daemen College, where he teaches in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and is director of the school’s orthopaedic manual physical therapy fellowship program. Schenk has received several awards over the course of his distinguished career and has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. A frequent speaker, he has presented at national and international conferences.
