Here are the top three stories in Buffalo today:
- Buffalo police are seeking the public's help in locating Damarion White, a missing teen. 15-year-old White, 5'6" and 130 lbs., was seen around E. Ferry Street and Bailey Avenue on Jul. 3. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact 911 immediately. (WKBW 7 News Buffalo)
- The City of Buffalo plans to demolish 1037 Seneca Street, the former Battaglia Demolition, Inc. after years of neglect. The property even caught fire, causing health hazards and bad living conditions for residents nearby. Those residents say the site is full of rodents, illegal dumping, and dust that seeps into their yards as well. (WKBW 7 News Buffalo)
- Buffalo River Compost converts tons of commercial waste into rich soil. Along with diverting waste out of landfills, composting reduces the need for chemical fertilizer. Officials at Buffalo River Compost say they use everything from animal bedding at the Buffalo Zoo to wood chips from the Botanical Gardens to make nutrient-dense soil. (Spectrum News)

- If you've been hoping to try out the Paddle & Pedal boats at Canalside, make sure you find time before the end of the month. When August starts, the canals will be transformed into the Roller Rink for Aug. 12. (Buffalo Waterfront via Facebook)
- Preservation Day is back for the second year in a row this Saturday. Hosted by the Amherst Historic Preservation Commission, Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, and Preservation Buffalo Niagara, Preservation Day features interactive activities about history and architecture.
