🌱 Snowfall Record Set At Airport + BPS Distributes COVID Tests

- A new daily snowfall record was set at Buffalo Niagara International Airport during the winter storm on Thursday. The National Weather Service reported a total accumulated snowfall of 13.1 inches, breaking the previous record of just 7.3 inches in 1974. The weather service is monitoring to see if the all-time one-day snow total record for a January day will be broken as snowfall continues. (Buffalo News)
- Buffalo Public Schools distributed 31,000 rapid at-home COVID-19 test kits to students on Wednesday. The tests were delivered to the district by the National Guard last week and contain two tests per kit. The district has also ordered an emergency supply of 500,000 KN95 masks and plans to begin distributing them to students as early as today. (WGRZ.com)
- Two police officers who were competing on this season of "The Amazing Race" were eliminated on Wednesday's episode. The episode marked the premiere of the popular reality show's 33rd season and saw the duo, Michael Norwood and Moe Badger, sent home early. Norwood and Badger were one of 11 groups to participate in this season of the show. (WKBW-TV)
