BROOKLYN, NY — Motors Coffee, a specialty coffee shop from Paris, will make its first U.S. appearance with a two-day pop-up at SEY in Bushwick this weekend.

On Sept. 19 and 20, Motors co-founder and 2025 French Brewers Cup Champion Thomas Philips will take over the bar at SEY, bringing the Paris coffee destination's brewing techniques and approach to New York.

Among the offerings will be drinks made with freeze-distilled milk, a technique that concentrates the milk's flavor and creates a richer, sweeter base for coffee.

The weekend will also mark the release of a limited-edition coffee collaboration between Motors and SEY that has been five years in the making.

The collaboration features a washed Gesha coffee from Panamanian producer Digna Nuñez and experimental processing by Lost Origin. Each coffee box will be individually hand-painted, with custom merchandise, handmade ceramics and a graffiti-inspired Motors × SEY T-shirt also available.

The pop-up will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at SEY, 18 Grattan Street in Bushwick.

SEY will also host limited cuppings with Lost Origin on Friday, September 18, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Advance tickets are required and available here.
