• Carmel Police Arrest New York Man After Traffic Stop Uncovers Suspected Drugs (i95rock.com) — A late-night traffic stop on Gleneida Avenue in the Carmel hamlet led police to a felony drug arrest after a K9 allegedly detected narcotics in a Mercedes-Benz, according to Carmel Police. Officers say they recovered suspected crack cocaine and heroin, and the New York City driver now faces multiple drug charges while awaiting arraignment in Carmel Town Court.
• Carmel man faces litany of charges after aggravated DWI crash (halstonmedia.com) — A 19-year-old Carmel resident faces aggravated DWI and several other charges after deputies say he rear-ended another car at Fair Street and Gleneida Avenue in Carmel Hamlet and tried to flee by car and on foot. Witnesses, an on-duty deputy, and off-duty officers helped stop him, and he's now due in Carmel Town Justice Court on multiple misdemeanors and traffic violations.
• My service dog's impact: Brennan Mahoney (legion.org) — A commander from the Carmel-Kent American Legion Post 270 shares how his service dog, Taffy, has helped him rebuild confidence and daily independence after a long Army career.
