Beer Brewers Get More Help From Gov
Governor Cuomo signed another bill into law, giving microbreweries power over their distribution contracts.
New York State’s craft brewers got another boost this week, as Governor Cuomo signed the “Small Brewers Bill” into law, giving microbreweries the power to terminate their distributor contract.
The New York Brewers Association says that this bill, in combination with the recently-signed Farm Brewers Bill and Brand Label Registration exemption will help the craft brewery industry flourish in the state.

"This legislation helps levels the playing field in the brewer-distributor relationship and ensures that small breweries have an opportunity to get their product in front of consumers," said New York Brewers Association President David Katleski, owner of Empire Brewing Company in Syracuse.
According to the New York Brewers Association, the state’s craft beer industry currently accounts for 3,000 direct jobs and $250 million in annual revenue.
