The hotly anticipated of pastry chef Christina Tosi's Momofuku Milk Bar confirmed this evening that they will open for business at 360 Smith Street near Second Place on Saturday, March 31.
This marks the bakery's fifth store since first launching in the East Village in 2008 and reps say it is the largest of all locations.
Tosi is best known for her quirky and nostalgic creations such as cereal-flavored milk, cornflake-marshmallow cookies, candy bar pie and the infamous "crack pie"—a riff on traditional Chess Pie—made with copious amounts of sugar, butter and eggs. Other savory dishes on the menu will include bagel bombs, stuffed croissants and pork and veggie buns.
