In this two-session course taught by Marshall, students will discuss the science of hereditary traits, including "genes and propensity for diseases like cancer, genetically modified crops, or that a beagle and a toy poodle are both wolves." Participants will perform several experiments including extracting DNA from fruits. No science background is necessary.
