Fairway Market Roasting Coffee for Passover

Roasting Coffee for Passover at Fairway Market in Red Hook, Brooklyn

Watch the process led by Master Roasters Benny Lanfranco and Richard Pascale on Monday, April 2nd from 9 am to 4 pm

Join us at the Red Hook store to see how Fairway's Master Roasters Benny Lanfranco and Richard Pascale roast coffee beans (while supervised by Rabbi Marmorstein and KOF-K) to make them Kosher for Passover.

It starts with the roaster being totally cleaned out to make sure there are no ‘contamination’ beans that are not Kosher for Passover. Rabbi Marmorstein will be bringing the beans shipped from one Columbian coffee plantation and they will not be mixed with any other beans. A blessing will be made on the beans as they are placed in separate bags.
