Sleepless in Brooklyn: A Night of Storytelling with Parents, Writers and Performers

As a parent you already spend part of date night talking about your kids. Why not laugh about your crazy-makers with Brooklyn's best storytellers, instead? On Saturday, October 6, join us at Roulette Theater as parents and authors Amy Sohn (Motherland), Victoria Brown (Grace in the City), Eliza Factor (The Mercury Fountain), Abby Sher (Amen, Amen, Amen), Dave Mandl (The Believer, The Brooklyn Rail) and comedian Charles Star, our host for the evening, share tales about the highs and lows of parenthood.
The event is free with RSVP (http://sleeplessinbk.eventbrite.com/) thanks to Forefront Church, which just began its nondenominational services at Roulette on Sundays at 11 am (details here). For an idea of Forefront's progressive approach, consider pastor and Carroll Gardens dad Jonathan Williams' own description: "We're a church that is interested in asking good questions rather than having right answers."
Come celebrate their new outpost in Brooklyn at Roulette's gorgeous theater with local bites and libations, and funny stories about the people you love most in life.
