Fall After School Workshops at Beam Center

Beam Center is proud to announce a brand-new season of after-school activities in imagination, technology, and craft for kids.

Beam Center is proud to announce a brand-new season of after-school activities in imagination, technology, and craft for kids in 2nd through 8th grades. New 8-week workshops start mid-September. Kids can immerse themselves in printmaking, boatbuilding, learn how to make data visualizations in code, build their own solar panels, design space exploration tools, and much, much more.

TIME: Inventgenuity Workshops run from 4:00 to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday; Beam Center is open to kids from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on those days. Snack is provided and early arrivals have a chance to do homework.

DATES: Starting September 16, running for 8 weeks. Inventgenuity Workshops DO NOT run on most single-day school holidays, e.g. Columbus Day, Election Day, MLK Day.

COST: 8-week workshops are $400, all materials included. 16-week workshops are $800. Tuition Assistance is available to qualifying families.

SCHOOL PICK UP: We pick up every day from PS 261, PS 38, PS 10, PS 29, PS 32, PS 372, and Mary McDowell; we can pick up from other schools with a minimum of 3 students.

SHUTTLE SERVICE: After workshops each day, we run a shuttle from 51 Bergen St (in front of the Invisible Dog, half a block from the F/G at Bergen St). The shuttle arrives promptly at Bergen St at 5:45PM. The shuttles are $20 per kid for an 8-week workshop, and available on a first come, first-served basis; space is limited.
