GOWANUS PAROLEE CENTER MEETING SET FOR SEPT. 29

A group of Gowanus businesses and residents have scheduled a meeting for Monday, September 29th at 6:00 pm at The Bell House to address the plans by the State Department of Corrections for a borough-wide parolee reporting center to be located on 2nd Avenue. The center is slated for a January opening and will result in approximately 5,000 Brooklyn parolees reporting there as part of their parole requirements. Gowanus Alliance members and Community Board 6 members are expected to attend. Other members of the community are invited to attend to indicate their position or ideas.

The Bell House is located at 149 Seventh Street.
