Homeowners! Are you ready to start saving?
Improve the health, comfort, and safety in your home! Participate in a pilot program to implement energy efficiency upgrades!

The EnergyFit NYC Pilot is an initiative of the Pratt Center for Community Development and is studying how to make it easier, cheaper, and faster for homeowners to implement energy upgrades in their homes. Selected homeowners will receive home improvements (valued between $2800 and $3200) that will not only save energy but also improve the health, comfort, and safety of their buildings.
For this phase of the Pilot, we are focused on two-family, attached, masonry, gas-heated homes built before 1930.
EnergyFit NYC will enable selected homeowners to receive a package of measures including:

· Air sealing and weatherstripping
· Insulating the roof hatch

· Insulating basement heating and hot water pipes
· Replacing incandescent lights with LEDs
· Installing low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators
· Installing carbon monoxide/smoke detectors
· Calibrating domestic hot water temperature
· Performing home health and safety tests and improvements
There is a sliding scale participation fee of up to $250 (depending on one’s income), and the willingness to complete four brief, quarterly surveys. Interested homeowners can fill out a short form at www.energyfitnyc.com .
Space is limited. If you refer a homeowner that is selected to receive a retrofit, you can earn a referral fee of $200. Referrals can be submitted at www.prattcenter.net/energyfitnyc-referral
