I’ve always been interested in spaces. The elements of the aesthetic; layout, items, details, functionality, materials, colors, textures, lighting, sound, etc. all work in unison to create the mise-en-scene, the theatrics of a space that give it a distinct vibrational frequency . Some rooms feel exciting, some functional, some feel modern, some classic, some ancient, others even feel holy.
For years I have attended museum exhibitions or architectural and design shows simply because it’s something that interests me. It’s been a natural progression of applying my outdoor-street aesthetic; space, buildings, objects, geometry etc. to indoor design and architecture.
Aggie Purvinska needed photos of her recent residential project for her website. She contacted me and I met her on location in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. She also wanted a few photos of herself for web and promotional materials, but didn’t need a separate, full portrait session. Below are some photos from her project and of Miss Aggie herself that we took on site. As always, Click on for larger views.
