Spotted: Playing ping pong inside , a men's and women's clothing and lifestyle boutique on the corner of Bergen and Nevins streets in Boerum Hill.
When did the store open?: 2006
Why did you choose this neighborhood?: The neighborhood actually chose me. A buddy of mine, he was familiar with the neighborhood, and he found this location. I was looking for a place to open up a graphic design firm. He was like, "you should do clothing, you have such great style." He told me about this spot, and I fell in love with the neighborhood.

Favorite vintage stores, either in New York or around the country: Bobby’s in Boston for sure. We travel to so many places and I try to keep them as secretive as possible. But the Brooklyn Flea is definitely a great spot, because a lot of the dealers and vendors are familiar with us, they’ll call me, let me know what’s going on. And I love the Hell’s Kitchen market.
I’ve been reading The Brooklyn Circus’ blog, and you often mention The Hundred Year Plan. Can you explain that?: Brooklyn as a culture, or just what was happening in music, in fashion, what’s on trend, what’s next, was just really short term. And we wanted to create a long-term plan that had a legacy tied into it, so we wouldn’t have the pressure to necessarily answer to “What’s next?” “Are you guys done?” “Have you reached your peak?” It was really about creating something that was bigger than us. The Hundred Year Plan involves music, culture, style, education, art libraries for the inner-city. A bunch of stuff.
