Snatched From a Grocery Cart

On Saturday evening, January 21, a woman shopping at Met Food Market on Smith Street momentarily left her purse unattended in her shopping cart. An unknown perp took her purse, which held a Furia wallet worth $200, carrying $25 in cash, three credit cards, a drivers license, worker ID and a Verizon Blackberry Bold cellphone worth $300.

Public Lewdness in Front of Perks

A man walking in front of Perks, a night club on Smith Street, dropped his pants and exposed himself to a woman waiting in line to get into the club on Saturday, January 21, after midnight. The 24-year-old man was arrested for public lewdness immediately after the event.

 

Man Suffers Head Injuries

On Thursday at 10:45 p.m., January 19, a 44-year-old man was deliberately pushed into a structure on Union Street by a white male, approximately 55 years old. A beam fell from the structure and hit the victim in the head. He was taken to Long Island College Hospital for stitches on his head and a possible fracture in his foot.

 

Robbery from Unlocked Car

On Thursday afternoon, January 19, a man returned to his Dodge Caravan to discover that $1,640 worth of hardware had been stolen from his car, including 3 Makita cordless drills, 3 Makita cordless impact guns, 2 Makita 18 volt batteries, and a Sestool Jigsaw Tryon 300.
