Sadie's Kitchen to Open on Monday
The eagerly anticipated 1930's-style diner will open next week.
Sadie’s Kitchen, a new restaurant on Degraw Street that will be serving up 1930s-style comfort food, will be opening on Monday, reports the New York Times.
Macaroni and cheese will be the diner-style restaurant’s signature dish, with add-ons like bacon, crayfish and fried oysters, smoked duck, and mushrooms, according to the Times. Distinctive, though, is the addition of tomatoes to the cheese sauce and a potato-chip topping. Sadie’s will also serve biscuit sandwiches, macaroni salad, pies and beignets.
At the helm of the restaurant are Peter Sibilia and chef Damien Vizuete.
