Red Hook-based Sixpoint Brewery is about to drop its autumn beer on Brooklyn, and its not your average pumpkin ale.
The brewery's Autumnation will arrive Thursday at Alaska Bar in Bushwick at a 9 p.m. release party.
The brewery is a "wet hop" beer, which uses hops that have not yet been dried, which most beers rely on. The fresh hop creates a completely different flavor than the usually bright floral and citrus hoppy beers do. They are far more coppery and almost cider-like in profile.
