Summer Music Camps at School of Rock Brooklyn

School of Rock Brooklyn provides innovative and unique programs for aspiring and seasoned musicians to hone their instrument skills and play with others. Although we feature dedicated private lessons, we encourage group class participation so students can apply what they’re learning in a group setting and get used to playing in a band.

We offer year-round private lessons, group bands, classes and workshops for students ages 3 though adult. Feel free to reach out for more info on our year-round options. Summer Camps - All Levels Welcome

Rookies Camp (Ages 4.5-6)
In this intro to music school, little rockers practice on instruments made for their size, learning notes, song structure, rhythm patterns, group bandmanship and above all, a love of music through inspiration and fun. By the end of camp Rookies will be playing songs and jamming with their band.
Held Monday June 29th - Thursday July 2nd
Half Day Sessions: 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm
$350/4 days

One Hit Wonders Camp (Ages 7-11)
Any and every style and era of rock music is up for grabs as we revisit the anomaly and formula of the “overnight success” tunes that too suddenly come into our listening periphery and often disappear just as quickly. Learn the history of and play timeless chart toppers in our One Hit Wonders camp.
Held Monday July 6th - Friday July 10th
Full Day Sessions: 9am-3pm

Best of the 80s Camp (Ages 7-11)
Classic 80’s music was all about fun! From metal rock to progressive alt rock to post punk and new wave classics, students will learn and perform some of the decade’s most memorable acts.
Held Monday July 13th - Friday July 17th
Full Day Sessions: 9am-3pm

Modern Rock (Ages 10-17)
Elements of folk, rock, rhythm and blues have given the 21st century a unique sound. Gain a refreshing perspective on the sounds and dynamics of our current world of music. Learn the biggest rock hits of the last decade.
Held Monday July 20th - Friday July 24th
Full Day Sessions: 9am-3pm

Woodstock Camp (Ages 10-17)
This camp features bands from the infamous 1969 Woodstock Festival. Students engage in discussions and rehearse a selection of historic Woodstock performances, from Jimmy Hendrix, The Who, Janis Joplin, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Jefferson Airplane. Come learn all about this iconic music festival, and learn the songs of the legends of the stage.
