12-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Jeep In Center Moriches: Police
She was airlifted to the hospital, police say.
CENTER MORICHES, NY — A 12-year-old girl was seriously injured after being struck while crossing the roadway in Center Moriches Thursday afternoon, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the incident took place on Main Street near Clinton Street at 3:05 p.m.
A 25-year-old woman from Mastic was driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler westbound on Main Street when the vehicle struck a 12- year-old girl who was crossing the roadway near Clinton Street, police said.

The 12-year-old, of Center Moriches, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver was uninjured, police said. The Jeep was impounded for a safety check., police said.
