Dec. 21, 2021
Moriches Elementary School fifth-grade students recently started the “Battle of the Books,” a competition to see which student can read the most books between now through May. After finishing a book, students will have to take a quiz on the book to enter into the battle. Students who make it through the quiz stage will then be put into teams for a mini-battle, with the winners squaring off in June. Students kicked off the “Battle of the Books” with a book tasting event!
