Center Moriches Middle School Students Shine in Matilda Jr. The Musical

The Center Moriches School District proudly celebrated the incredible success of Center Moriches Middle School’s recent production of Matilda Jr. The Musical, a high-energy, heartwarming performance that showcased the remarkable talent and dedication of its students.

Based on the beloved novel by Roald Dahl, Matilda Jr. The Musical follows the journey of an exceptionally bright and brave young girl who uses her wit, courage, and imagination to stand up against adversity from her family and school. Along the way, she inspires those around her to find their own strength and voice. Filled with catchy songs, dynamic choreography, and powerful messages about resilience and kindness, the production captivated audiences from start to finish.

Bringing such an ambitious show to life required months of hard work and commitment. Student performers and stage crew members spent countless hours rehearsing, learning lines, mastering choreography, and fine-tuning every detail of the production. Their efforts were supported by a dedicated team of teachers, advisors, and staff who worked behind the scenes to ensure the show was a success.

The result was a series of two outstanding performances that highlighted not only the students’ theatrical abilities, but also their discipline and passion for the performing arts.
