Center Moriches Students Celebrate Moving Up

Clayton Huey Elementary, Center Moriches Middle School Hold Ceremonies

The Center Moriches Union Free School District recently celebrated a series of moving-up ceremonies honoring children from kindergarten as well as fifth- and- eighth-grade students as they reached important milestones in their educational journeys. Students at Clayton Huey Elementary School and Center Moriches Middle School were recognized for their hard work and accomplishments as they prepared to transition to the next level of their education.

During each ceremony, building and District administrators congratulated students and reflected on their academic growth, perseverance, and achievements. Awards and certificates were also presented in recognition of their accomplishments. Surrounded by family members, friends, classmates, and teachers, students proudly marked the completion of their elementary and middle school years and looked ahead to the exciting opportunities that await them.

“Moving-up ceremonies are a celebration of the hard work and growth our students have demonstrated throughout their years,” Dr. Ricardo Soto, Superintendent of Schools, said. “We are incredibly proud of students in kindergarten, fifth grade and eighth grade. We look forward to seeing all they will accomplish as they continue their educational journeys in the Center Moriches School District.”
