Eastport Home Engulfed In Flames Wednesday: PD

EASTPORT, NY — Fire raced through a family's Speonk home Wednesday, police said.

At about 12:12 p.m., Southampton Town police received a 911 call of a residence fully engulfed by flames on Shore Road, officials said.

No one was in the house when the fire broke out and no one was hurt, police said.

The Eastport Fire Department, along with the East Moriches Fire Department, Manorville Fire Department, Westhampton Beach Fire Department, Quogue Fire Department, East Quogue Fire Department, and Center Moriches Fire Department responded and successfully extinguished the fire, police said.

Southampton Town police detectives along with Southampton Town fire marshals responded to investigate, police said.
