Police ID Male Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Suffolk 7-Eleven Parking Lot

CENTER MORICHES, NY — Police have identified a male pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Center Moriches 7-Eleven early Wednesday as Silverio Saldana-Trejo, 60, of Center Moriches.

According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place at about 4:40 a.m. Saldana-Trejo was walking in the parking lot of 7-Eleven, located on Wading River Road, when a 2022 Ford F150, driven by a 60-year-old man from Texas, turned into the gas station and struck him.

Saldana-Trejo was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.

The Texas man was not injured, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
