Man Convicted In Violent Suffolk County Home Invasion

He and two alleged accomplices restrained a mother, father and child with duct tape, the DA says.

CENTER MORICHES, NY — A New York City man was convicted of first degree burglary for his role in a violent Center Moriches home invasion last year, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota.

George Bidi, 21, and two alleged accomplices stormed into a home on Amanda Way on Nov. 16, 2016 and restrained a father, mother and one child with duct tape as they stole cash, jewelry, a cellphone and an Apple watch, Spota said in a release.

George, of Brooklyn, and two other suspects, 29-year-old Alexander Vaughan and 26-year-old Akim Adams, were armed with baseball bats and a handgun; authorities arrested the trio on the Southern State Parkway in Bay Shore shortly after the burglary, police said.
