Student, Driver Injured In Mini School Bus Rollover On LI: Police
The bus was reported on its side Friday morning, police say.
EASTPORT, N — One student and the driver were injured after a mini school bus rolled onto its side in Eastport Friday morning, police said.
Suffolk County police police said Seventh Precinct police officers responded to the bus on County Road 51, west of the overpass for County Road 111, at 7:05 a.m. The bus driver, a 79-year-old male, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said. A 14-year-old student on the bus was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
There was no one else on the bus, police said.
