Missing East Moriches Woman With Dementia Found Safe
Irene Mazzeo was taken to a hospital for evaluation, police say.
EAST MORICHES, NY — An East Moriches woman with dementia who was reported missing Wednesday has been located unharmed, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, Irene Mazzeo, 62, was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
A Silver Alert was issued when she went missing. Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
