School Bus Crash Reported In Moriches

BREAKING: The crash occurred Tuesday at 2:15 p.m., fire officials say.

MORICHES, NY — A crash involving a school bus was reported in Moriches Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

According to the Center Moriches Fire Department, the crash took place on Moriches-Middle Island Road at 2:12 p.m.

Suffolk County Police said the crash involved a mini bus at Moriches-Middle Island Road in Moriches.

"At this time, it doesn't appear any children were injured and none of the injuries are serious," police said.

Although initial reports indicated that two school buses may have been involved, as well as an ambulette and a car, that could not be immediately confirmed.

Officials could not say if any students were on the bus or if any injuries were reported.
