William Floyd Middle School Names Artist Of The Month

The artist of the month for January is Mia Glauber, an eighth-grade student in Timothy Kosta’s class at William Floyd Middle School. Mia is an extremely talented student-artist who finds her passion in drawing realistic portraits of characters from her favorite television shows, video games and anime.

Mia enjoys creating her artwork with various mediums including charcoal, pen, markers, colored pencils and mixed-media techniques. “Anyone who views Mia’s art is awestruck with the amount of time and detail that she puts into her work,” said Mr. Kosta.

For her efforts and superb work, Theresa Bianco, chairperson, fine arts, William Floyd School District, presented Mia with a certificate of congratulations. Mia also plays the clarinet in the school band. She aspires to one day work in the art field, specifically in animation.
