The event will feature readings, performances, and public conversation inspired by this year's book: The City We Became by N.K. Jeminsin, a "sprawling urban fantasy" featuring characters from across the five boroughs.

The book is available as an e-book and audiobook download for anyone with an NYPL library card through Labor Day.

So far, there have been 8,500 e-book and e-audiobook checkouts of The City We Became since the launch on May 19.

To get a free ticket to the event at the Delacorte Theater, head over to The Public Theater, The Delacorte Theater, or two different NYPL locations: Clason's Point Library in the Bronx and the St. George Library Center in Staten Island.

Tickets are also available through a digital lottery here.
