Central Park To Become Winter Sports Wonderland For Snow Jam 2017
Snow, rain or shine Central Park will become a destination for snowboarding, skiing and something called "Arctic golf" on Jan. 28.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — For four hours on Saturday Jan. 28 the Central Park Bandshell will more closely resemble a scene on a ski mountain than an urban park. Snow, rain or shine, the Gore Mountain Ski Resort will return to Central Park for Snow Jam 2017, and they'll be bringing plenty of snow with them.
After Gore Mountain has covered the bandshell area in a nice coat of powder, New Yorkers will be able to enjoy a free winter sports festival at the Central Park Bandshell from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., according to a press release.
The activities for this year's Snow Jam include:
