NY Philharmonic To Perform In Every NYC Borough This Summer
The renowned orchestra will hold free performances in borough parks this summer, and is asking people to bring their own instruments.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — The New York Philharmonic will hold free performances in every city borough this summer, and they want average New Yorkers to help them out. The renowned symphony orchestra is encouraging New Yorkers — musical novices and virtuosos alike — to bring their own instruments and play along with the orchestra during a portion of the performances.
The orchestra will kick off its free concert series on June 13 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, according to a press release. All of the concerts, except for Staten Island, will be held in borough parks.
The philharmonic will then perform in Central Park on June 14, Queens' Cunningham Park on June 15, Brooklyn's Prospect Park on June 16 and Staten Island's Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden on June 18.
