One of the men who punched and robbed a tourist in Central Park was arrested, police said.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — A tourist walking through Central Park late at night was violently mugged Monday, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.

The 36-year-old man from Sweden was walking near the Heckscher Ballfields — located near West Drive and the 65th Street Transverse — just after midnight Monday when he was approached by two men who demanded his money and cellphone, an NYPD spokesman said.

The men punched the tourist several times in the face and took his wallet before running from the scene of the mugging, police said.
