VIDEO: Tom Hanks Crashes Wedding Photoshoot in Central Park

Tom Hanks, star of the newly released "Sully," took selfies with a surprised bride and groom in Central Park.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — Tom Hanks, fresh off his starring role as New York's favorite commercial airline pilot in "Sully," has taken to crashing Central Park photoshoots. The two-time oscar winner dropped in unexpectedly on two newlyweds Saturday to pose for some photos, reminding everyone why he's their mother's favorite actor.

The bride and groom were by the Central Park reservoir when Hanks appeared and introduced himself, photographer Meg Miller told the Daily News.

"He just walked up to us and took off his hat and glasses and said, 'Hi, I'm Tom Hanks,'" Miller told the Daily News.

Hanks posed for several pictures with newlyweds Ryan and Elizabeth. He was photographed shaking the groom's hand, kissing the bride's ring and the three of them were pictured arm in arm. Groom Ryan seemed to be taking it all in stride, but Elizabeth couldn't contain her excitement.

It appears as if Hanks was jogging in the park when he decided to drop in on the photoshoot. Hanks was wearing a hood and athletic shorts, and was holding a hat and sunglasses (typical jogging disguise).

"It was pretty amazing that he stopped," Miller told the Daily News. "He asked their names. He easily could have just run past."
