On Thursday, at 7:55 p.m., an officer stopped a Honda Accord for an equipment violation on Main Street, in Mount Kisco.

After initially pulling over, the driver then fled at high speed, and entered the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway.

Other WCPD officers deployed spike strips and intercepted the suspect vehicle in Thornwood, south of Marble Avenue.

Police say that the Honda sideswiped an unmarked WCPD vehicle, and then collided with other police vehicles.

Angel Bautista, 21, was charged with felony second-degree assault; felony third-degree criminal mischief; misdemeanor second-degree reckless endangerment; misdemeanor reckless driving; misdemeanor fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle; and misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He also received several summonses for vehicle/traffic violations.

Police say the injured officers were treated and released from area hospitals.

While Bautista was in custody at police headquarters in Hawthorne, he complained of pain and was evaluated by EMS personnel.

He was held overnight for arraignment in Mount Pleasant Town Court, and then taken to the Westchester County Jail following arraignment in lieu of $5,000 bail.
