Pedestrian Hurt After She Is Hit By Car Crossing A Mount Kisco Street

MOUNT KISCO, NY — A woman was struck by a car while crossing the street, according to police in Westchester County.

The pedestrian was seriously injured this morning when she was stuck by a car while crossing the street at Carpenter Avenue and Barker Street, in Mount Kisco, according to the Westchester County Police Department.

The intersection remains closed and drivers are advised to seek an alternate route through that area. North Moger Avenue at Quaker Hill Street also remains closed to traffic, according to WCPD.

The pedestrian, described as an elderly woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. The driver remained at the scene, according to police.

The circumstances are under investigation by the WCPD Accident Investigation Team and detectives from the General Investigations Unit.
