NEW YORK CITY — Roland will open a flagship store in New York City in early October, marking the company's first standalone retail location in the United States.
The store will be located at 414 West 14th Street in Manhattan's Meatpacking District.
The more than 9,000-square-foot space will bring Roland, BOSS and Drum Workshop, Inc. (DW) products together, with dedicated areas for pianos, drums, guitars, synthesizers, DJ equipment and Roland Cloud.
"New York has long been a place where new sounds, ideas, and creative movements take shape, making it a natural home for Roland's U.S. flagship store," Masahiro Minowa, CEO of Roland Corporation, said.
"Roland has always been committed to pushing music forward, and this store gives us a new way to share that spirit with musicians and creators while bringing our global retail experience to one of the world's most important cultural centers."
The store will also feature a dedicated grand piano showroom, the only dedicated DW showroom in the U.S. and a BOSS Cavern focused on guitar effects and amplifiers.
Visitors will be able to try the latest instruments and technology, including Roland's premium pianos, V-Drums, SP samplers and TR drum machines.
The store will also feature rotating exhibits highlighting historic Roland products, beginning with the influential TR-808 Rhythm Composer.
Roland Store New York City will offer free 30-minute workshops and one-to-one sessions with product experts, as well as complimentary after-sales training for customers.
