CityPickle Brings 5-Day Pickleball Festival To NYC This Month
The celebration coincides with a major week for racquet sports in New York.

NEW YORK CITY — New York City’s pickleball scene is taking over this week as CityPickle and the Times Square Alliance present CityPicklePalooza, a free five-day celebration running August 26–30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The event will transform Times Square Plaza into a pickleball destination, featuring a professional court, complimentary public play, appearances by Major League Pickleball professionals, live DJ entertainment, brand activations, giveaways and product sampling. Participating brands include Prince, Rhone, K-Swiss, Cabot, Zespri and One Times Square.
The celebration coincides with a major week for racquet sports in New York, including the start of the U.S. Open and the Major League Pickleball Finals, taking place August 28–30 at CityPickle’s Wollman Rink location in Central Park.

CityPicklePalooza will also highlight the sport’s inclusive community through partnerships with the Challenged Athletes Foundation, the National Women’s Pickleball Foundation and CityPickle’s Parkinson’s pickleball programming.
Free one-hour public play sessions will be offered daily, with reservations opening at noon the previous day through the CityPickle booking app and website. Walk-up play and additional programming will also be available.
