• New Hartford Passes Tax Exemption Law for Volunteer Firefighters (wktv.com) — Volunteer firefighters who live and own homes in Clayville could soon see a break on their property taxes thanks to New Hartford's newly approved exemption law, which explicitly covers Clayville and Chadwicks. Eligible volunteers with at least two continuous years of service may qualify for up to a 10% reduction in assessed value, by filing the required form with the town assessor by March 1.
