Commack High School Inducts 150 Students into the National Honor Society

COMMACK, NEW YORK — The Commack School District recently announced that 150 students were inducted into the Commack High School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) in recognition of their leadership qualities, commitment to community service and academic excellence.

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nationwide premier organization that recognizes outstanding high school students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. Students chosen have a minimum cumulative GPA of 90 percent, make voluntary contributions to their school or community, and exemplify characteristics such as being dependable, resourceful, good problem solvers, promoters of school activities, and idea contributors.

The National Honor Society elevates Commack High School’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These recently inducted students uphold principles of morality and ethics, are cooperative, demonstrate high standards of honesty and reliability, show courtesy, concern and respect for others.
