At 445 Commack Rd.In Commack Sits The Long Island Telephone Museum

It features the history of Ma Bell with a real telephone switchboard and phone operator, and includes crank and pay phones.

Exhibits are touchable and interactive It has a replica of Alexander Grahm Bell 's workshop ; a story about a lineman. and a real NY Telephone work truck. It opens the first Sunday of each month from 1-4 and by appointment during the week .
