COMMACK, NY — Suffolk County police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Friday afternoon in Commack.
A man entered Chase Bank at 39 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway at about 4:45 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash, police said.
The teller complied, and the man fled the bank on foot, according to police. Authorities did not disclose how much money was taken.
Police described the man as white and between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing sunglasses, a white dress shirt, black pants and black shoes, as well as a baseball cap that possibly had a camouflage pattern.
Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating.
