Walt Whitman Shops plans a grand reopening to mark completion of 18 months of renovation and expansion.

The reopening will start at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 21 with a ribbon-cutting and unveiling of a new bronze statue of the poet Walt Whitman.

Campari to Celebrate Soft Re-Opening Next Friday

Campari Ristorante, in Northport Village will celebrate its soft re-opening Nov. 15, with a new menu, live music and art.

Owner Danyell Miller said that she has changed the menu to serve fresh, seasonal and Mediterranean-inspired style cuisine. The restaurant will be a destination for art fans as well. Every weekend, customers will find works from local artists and enjoy live music and entertainment.

Uniqlo Celebrates Its Grand Opening in Smith Haven Mall

Japanese clothing retailer UNIQLO celebrated the grand opening of its first Long Island store at the Smith Haven Mall on Friday. 

UNIQLO held its grand opening in Lake Grove this Friday at 10 a.m. with special festivities and performance throughout the weekend. The store is located in the Macy's wing, next to Aeropostale.

Commack Hess Station Moves One Step Closer to Construction

Plans for a Commack Hess gas station on the corner of Harned Road and Jericho Turnpike are moving closer to becoming a reality.

Smithtown Town Board voted 3-2 to approve a site plan for Commack Hess's gas station and convenience store at their Tuesday afternoon board meeting. Supervisor Patrick Vecchio and Councilman Ed Wehrheim were the two votes against the project.
