Chick-fil-A Helps Reunite Little Girl With Lost Toy Flamingo

The local restaurant will be officially reuniting the 3-year-old with her stuffed animal at a special party on Friday.

COMMACK, NY - A social media campaign helped reunite a little girl with her stuffed flamingo after she left it a Commack restaurant.

Last week, 3-year-old Madison was having lunch with her father at Chick-fil-A when she accidentally left the doll at the store.

After discovering the doll at the restaurant, a photo of the doll was posted on the Chick-fil-A Facebook page with the caption: "A little girl left this behind at Chick-fil-A Commack after having lunch with her dad. Please let us know if this belongs to your daughter! We are taking good care of her in the meantime!"

Madison's mother, Christi Kelly Thomson, saw the post after her friend shared it on Facebook and recognized the doll.

She then got in touch with the employees at Chick-fil-A, who plan to reunite Madison with her flamingo during a special party on Friday.

"[Chick-fil-A] messaged me, they were very excited and they said they were going to do something special for her," she told Patch.

According to Thomson, Madison asked about her flamingo on the drive back home after lunch, but her father didn't want to turn around as they were almost home.

Madison still misses her stuffed animal but will be unaware of the reunion until the party this week.

"It's very funny, but she'll be very excited," Thomson, of Ronkonkoma, said. "I love Chick-fil-A and I'm a Floridian so I grew up with them and I know how wonderful the company is. It's very sweet they did this."
