Commack High Student Wins National Merit Scholarship
Scholarship winners were chosen out of more than 15,000 finalists based on their academic accomplishments.

Commack High School student Scott Massa has been named a National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winner.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation made the announcement on Wednesday.
Massa was selected out of more than 15,000 finalists in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program based on his academic accomplishments.

Massa, who was also a finalist in the Intel Science Talent Search, and about 7,600 finalists will be given the title of “Merit Scholar.” NMSC plans to award nearly $34 million in college scholarships by the end of the 2015 program.
All scholars may use their $2,500 award at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
