Commack-Kings Park Rotary Hosting Food Drive At ShopRite To Support Local Families

Donations collected at ShopRite will support the Commack Food Pantry at the local Y/JCC, organizers said.

COMMACK, NY — Residents will have an opportunity to give back and support neighbors in need this weekend as the Rotary Club of Commack-Kings Park hosts a community food drive outside ShopRite.

The event will take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at ShopRite, located at 1 Garet Place in Commack. Organizers said all donations collected will go directly to the Commack Food Pantry at the Commack Y/JCC, helping provide essential supplies to families in the community.

The Rotary Club is encouraging residents to stop by and donate non-perishable food items and household essentials. Most-needed items include canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, rice, peanut butter and jelly, canned soups, and boxed meals such as cereal and macaroni and cheese.
